After some hard work exercising and diet discipline my wife and I finally reached our respective target weights. To maintain and perhaps help lose some more pounds, we decided to purchase a quality treadmill for the days when the weather is not conducive for running outside or for those times when we want to burn some extra calories. We decided to buy the LS Pro 1 which is the next model up from the LS 13.0T for actually less money at the time of purchase (Pro 1 lists at $1500, 13.0T lists at $1300 outside of Amazon) after researching on the interwebs. We went to a Dick's Sporting Goods Store where both were displayed to check them out for the comparo and test run. The LS Pro 1 looks and feels perhaps two models up from the 13.0T (think stock Toyota Camry vs. the top of the line of that model line, no Lexus of course at this price point). Delivery took longer as expected: the Amazon contracted delivery company re-scheduled and the next available date was not convenient for us, we finally took delivery after 2 days of the box sitting in some local warehouse. The box is VERY HEAVY, it took a verbal impromptu upgrade from the basic delivery provided for it to end up in the living room vs. sitting in the garage and injuring a back or two (TYVM CEVA guys!). The box had significant damages, (wouldn't be the first time for an Amazon delivery) but not totally unexpected for such a heavy item. After opening the box, all the parts inside were packed relatively well with particle board, cardboard and bubble wrap as protection and appeared unscathed from the external damages. Unfortunately it was too good to be true, there were multiple not so insignificant cosmetic damages in the form of broken plastic pieces, deep scratches, dings and dents. Please see accompanying pictures. Putting that aside and hoping that the functioning is not affected, I proceeded w/ the assembly. Assembly was pretty straightforward, with the instructions being 99% accurate with the remaining 1% more annoying than anything else. I'm not that handy but was able to figure it out by myself, 2 persons would be ideal specially towards the end. After the relatively short and simple assembly, I put on my running shoes and ran using one of the programs, there were some weird clunking/scratching/rubbing noise at first but eventually disappeared and I settled down for my first run on the Pro 1. It felt overall solid; buttons are large and well placed, the user interface could be more intuitive; the display is simple and basic (not touch enabled, no animated graphics, no speakers, no fan, but turned out to be a good holder for my macbook air), the mp3 player connection is kinda clunky due to the connecting cable; the noise might not sound loud but my kid had to turn the TV volume up higher than usual w/ the treadmill about 10 feet away; I did not notice any disturbing rattling and/or vibration during my run; cushioning is significantly better than our previous treadmill which was also significantly cheaper; overall the run was smooth and the machine felt sturdy. Where it not for the not so insignificant cosmetic damages, I would have rated the LS Pro 1 four stars, but just the same I'm looking forward for some healthy running on this machine for years to come.

This treadmill are great and solid built. I feel 2 steps better than competitors. It feels like a commercial grade treadmill in home use price. Operation is very easy and direct. Operation noise is average but I don't have to turn my TV volume too loud while I am running. Motor is very smooth and modulate speed in a perfect pace. Track feeling is very solid and it does not hurt your knee with long distance run. No problem so far after 2 months of usage. Amazon offers the best price. I enjoy using it a lot. This treadmill is very easy to assemble with 2 men in less than 2 hours.
The only problem is shipping. Package is slightly damaged when it arrived. Some cosmetic damage on plastic part but all metal parts are perfect.
I do recommend to buy this if you want simple operation with well built and long lasting treadmill.

This treadmill is GREAT. It does everything I could imagine - lots of different speed and incline settings, huge display easy for even aging eyes, quiet, sturdy - what more can you ask for? I LOVE the maintenance free belt so I don't have to mess with a huge lubing job at frequent intervals like most other treadmills. I have it set up with a great angle for TV and just cruise along on my workout watching my favorite show. Perfect and I recommend it highly.
